London/Melbourne rap duo Teether & Kuya Neil release their long-awaited debut album, YEARN IV.

Produced by: Kuya Neil

YEARN IV captures the brooding, vivid world of two musical outsiders, raised by the internet and shaped by clashing cultural experiences and sonic histories. Recorded in Melbourne and completed in London, the album reflects their hyper-local yet globally influenced rap sound. Kuya Neil’s drum-heavy production collides with Teether’s surreal, immersive storytelling, blending thrash metal, club music, and echoes of early internet aesthetics. Guest appearances from Nerdie (1300), Wergaia/Wemba Wemba vocalist Alice Skye, and Naarm producer Stoneset add depth to the album’s exploration of identity and isolation. Lead single ‘ZOO’ plays with the silent throes of cultural diversity over a paranoid trap instrumental, while ‘BLUSH’ offers a blissed-out digital love letter with shimmering autotuned hooks and rave-inspired breaks. ‘CHANEL,’ featuring Alice Skye, stands as a guitar-driven lament for Australia’s cultural landscape, culminating in the powerful line, “I’ll never reach my full potential here.” Tracks like ‘DIAL UP’ and ‘SEA LEGS’ further dive into themes of cultural identity and the tensions of contemporary urban Australia.

With YEARN IV, Teether & Kuya Neil establish themselves as a bold new voice in underground hip-hop, weaving together a dense tapestry of sound and storytelling that feels both deeply personal and universally resonant.
