Indie trio Sunday (1994) has unveiled a deluxe edition of their self-titled debut EP, expanding their cinematic universe with three new tracks, including the reflective single ‘Blossom.’

Produced by: Paige Turner and Lee Newell

Released earlier this year, the original EP quickly garnered attention for its evocative storytelling and indie charm. With the deluxe version, Sunday (1994) adds more depth to their sound, balancing jangly pop with melancholic guitar riffs and witty lyricism. New additions like ‘Blossom’ continue the band’s exploration of life’s quieter, more intimate moments. The track, described by the band as “about taking life one day at a time,” blends gentle piano with guitar-driven melodies, offering a message of slow, deliberate growth. The song urges listeners to “open the curtains once in a while; you need sunlight to bloom.”

The deluxe EP also includes the singles ‘Softly’ and ‘TV Car Chase,’ both of which showcase Sunday (1994)’s knack for blending emotional depth with dark humor. ‘Softly’ captures the intense emotions of early love, while ‘TV Car Chase’ adds a playful yet poignant edge to their already distinctive sound. These tracks, along with earlier releases such as ‘Tired Boy’ and ‘Stained Glass Window,’ reflect the band’s ability to craft songs that feel both cinematic and deeply personal.

Sunday (1994) describes the deluxe EP as a complete picture, adding that it features “nine songs from a band scattered across the world, all trying to figure out if our lives will become a blockbuster, a cult classic, or maybe something else entirely.” This thematic tension between the mundane and the extraordinary runs throughout the EP, capturing the band’s essence.

The deluxe edition of their acclaimed debut EP is available now on your favorite digital service provider.
