RAGERS share new single ‘Kill Your Politics’ / Release debut album Death Blow To The Thrones

Cleveland’s RAGERS release Death Blow To The Thrones, a furious and high-energy thirty-minute album a decade in the making.
Produced by: Brandon Zano
After a decade of anticipation, Cleveland’s RAGERS have triumphantly released their long-awaited debut album, Death Blow To The Thrones. This fierce and high-energy eight-track opus has been in the works for eleven years and was finally launched earlier this month, presenting a hard-hitting and compelling collection of rock songs.
Recorded at Tangerine Sound in Akron, Ohio, the album expertly captures the band’s desire to feature their coveted “live drum sound.” From the striking drum intro of their lead single, ‘Kill Your Politics,’ to the riveting closing track, ‘Dehumanize,’ the RAGERS’ rhythm section is tight and precise. Coupled with confident vocals and creatively layered guitar work, the four-piece construct a captivating sound tailor-made for the grandest of crowds.
When asked about the single, ‘Kill Your Politics,’ Zano humorously shared:
“HAHA. Well, I don’t know if I’m the right person to pick this as the lyrics were mostly written by Matt, but I do love the line ‘YOU AIN’T DONE SHIT SINCE 86!!’ I think he would agree. We love coming up with goofy phrases when we’re hanging out, or just when we overhear people say stupid shit and adding them to a lyric note that we share. Then we sprinkle them into our songs like frosting, baby. But as far as this song, I feel like half of it is pretty political and serious and the other half is a little more ‘fun.'”
Regarding the album, Zano also expressed his excitement about the long-awaited release in a recent interview, revealing:
”A few years ago, I decided to put time aside and finish production and mixing on the record, which was finalized with the band and my buddy, Ben Schigel, at Spider Studios right towards the end of COVID. We’ve finally found time for the band to get back together to play more and release the album years after I moved.”
To celebrate the album’s release, RAGERS will be taking the stage alongside the A-10’s and Public Squares on July 28 at CODA, marking the band’s triumphant return to live performances after an eight-year hiatus. Fans can look forward to a night of electrifying music, celebrating the culmination of RAGERS’ enduring passion and dedication that has firmly cemented their place in Cleveland’s vibrant music community and beyond.
RAGERS are Brandon Zano (singer/guitarist), Matt Jauch (guitarist/singer), Stephen Nicholson (drummer/singer), and Paul Bartholet (bassist).
