The NYC duo turns personal growth and emotional tension into a gripping debut on Wrapped in Plastic.

Produced by: Sim and @dogjail

Out now, Wrapped in Plastic marks the first full-length album from Pry, the New York-based project of Simeon Beardsley and Amara Bush. Across nine tracks, the record captures a mix of angst, reflection, and urgency, offering listeners a dynamic blend of gritty guitar riffs, polished synths, and strong vocal melodies.

Having first arrived on the scene in 2023 with their single ‘Don’t You Want to See,’ Pry has steadily built momentum with standout releases like ‘Tether You,’ ‘Heaven,’ ‘Greener,’ and ‘So Good.’ On Wrapped in Plastic, the duo synthesizes a broad set of influences—from ‘90s alt-rock and shoegaze to modern indie-pop—into a sound that’s both nostalgic and forward-looking. The result is a confident, emotionally resonant body of work that thrives on explosive dynamics and lyrical vulnerability.

Pry describes the album as being:

“Sonically driven by soft and powerful vocals, hardcore guitar licks, and clean, jangly tones that evoke a nostalgic feel with a distorted and gritty energy.”

Wrapped in Plastic is out now.
