Night Swimming’s debut EP No Place to Land delivers expansive dream-pop

Bath/Bristol-based dream-pop band Night Swimming has released their highly anticipated debut EP No Place to Land, available now on all digital platforms and 12″ vinyl.
Produced by: Peter Miles
Produced by Peter Miles (Orla Gartland, TORRES), the five-track EP marks an ambitious and bold introduction to the band’s sound, blending atmospheric soundscapes with industrial rhythms. Drawing inspiration from Beach House and Slowdive, Night Swimming creates a deeply immersive listening experience. Recorded live to tape at Middle Farm Studios in South Devon, England, No Place to Land offers a cinematic, emotional journey from start to finish.
The EP features previous singles ‘Evergreen,’ ‘Let That Be Enough,’ and ‘Five-Year Plan,’ which have garnered attention from notable tastemakers. Night Swimming’s music has also found its way onto BBC 6 Music’s Emily Pilbeam’s radar, as well as the Radio X X-Posure playlist.
Inspired by a mix of older influences like Cocteau Twins and The Cure, and more contemporary acts such as Wolf Alice and Warpaint, the band leans heavily into their love of film and scores to create music with a cinematic aesthetic. Lyrically, vocalist Meg Jones writes with a semi-autobiographical lens, channeling introspection and sensitivity in a style reminiscent of Joni Mitchell, Laura Marling, and Daughter’s Elena Tonra.
No Place to Land signals a confident debut for Night Swimming, positioning them as one of the most exciting new dream-pop acts. The band is celebrating the release with several live shows, including headlining dates at Rough Trade Bristol and The Bodega in Nottingham.
With its lush soundscapes and emotional depth, No Place to Land is a striking debut that leaves listeners eager for more.
