Los Angeles trio Jawdropped have unveiled their first EP Just Fantasy, out now via Angel Tapes and Fire Talk Records.

Produced by: Jawdropped

Formed less than a year ago, Jawdropped — Roman Zangari, Kyra Morling, and Sean Edwards — arrive with a fully realized five-track introduction that’s as loud as it is honest. Just Fantasy captures the essence of youthful restlessness through crunchy, fuzz-laden guitars, boy-girl harmonies, and oversized hooks. The EP was recorded with little more than friendship and guitars, but it carries the confidence and presence of a band already at full speed. Anchored in late-night conversations and West Coast malaise, the songs evoke the energy of The Get Up Kids, the punch of Oasis, and the charm of The Lemonheads.

Lead single ‘Skully’ is a standout moment, a bittersweet anthem that builds from thick distortion to raw vulnerability. Its video, directed by Rob Fraebel and Peter Lombardo, pieces together scenes of the band’s everyday life in LA.

“‘Skully’ is about feeling tethered to someone who isn’t good for you. Wanting to leave, but not knowing how. That little devil on your shoulder that keeps telling you to stick around for more, even though you know you shouldn’t.”

With Just Fantasy, Jawdropped distill the duality of modern living into something messy, melodic, and deeply human — a promising debut that’s already stadium-sized in sound and heart.

Standout Songs: ‘Skully,’ ‘Another Day,’ and ‘Outside.’

Release Date: April 25, 2025
