DITZ charge forward with relentless energy on Never Exhale

DITZ’s second album, Never Exhale, out now via Republic Of Music/Domino Publishing, captures the relentless energy and creativity of a band that refuses to stand still.
Produced by: DITZ
Written across Europe amid a grueling tour schedule, the album embodies the restless spirit of the road. Often crafted in borrowed rehearsal rooms during off-days, the tracks were tested live and refined over time, a hallmark of the band’s approach. Sonically rooted in noise rock and post-punk influences such as The Jesus Lizard, Shellac, and The Fall, Never Exhale expands on these foundations with fresh experimentation and deeply personal themes.
Recorded during a freezing January at Holy Mountain Studios in London, the album’s creation was fraught with challenges, including the abrupt shift from an intended Rhode Island recording session to accommodate a support tour with IDLES. Despite these hurdles, the record—mixed by Seth Manchester—emerges as a cohesive and intense work. Songs like ‘Taxi Man,’ written amidst the frayed dynamics of tour life, explore themes of self-reflection and moral accountability. Other tracks delve into unnecessary hatred (‘Space/Smile’), aging (‘Senor Siniestro’), and existential disconnection (‘The Body As A Structure’), inviting deeper interpretation with each listen.
Standout Songs: ‘Space/Smile,’ ‘Senor Siniestro,’ ‘Four,’ and ‘God On A Speed Dial.’
