The Australian producer has also recently announced his first tour of North America kicking off in Los Angeles in late October.

Produced by: Maxwell Byrne

Over the last few months, 1tbsp has given us a handful of riveting new singles — ‘Sleeves Touch My Elbows,’ ‘Circuit Current‘ & ‘Best of Me‘ — now he has released his debut LP, Mosquito Love. 8 tracks deep, the album includes upbeat, glitchy, and groove-laden sonic experiments that are based in formula just as much as they are an exploration of his art. Released via Sumoclic, the offering is “likened to a mix between Daphni (aka Caribou), Four Tet, and DJ Koze.”

Alongside the above mentioned singles, the album also boasts four more previously unheard gems; Sour Berry, Material Boy, and the album title-track Mosquito, which actually comes in two equally impressive parts, pt.1 & pt.2.

Here he is discussing the album:

“I made Mosquito Love over the last 6 months, and it’s my first album as 1tbsp. Two things really inspired the direction of the album: over the last year — I really got into reggaeton & Latin music, and I finally made the leap and bought some modular synths. I wanted to try and combine the two on this album.”

Accompanying the debut album comes news of his first tour of North America. Kicking off in late October, the tour covers seven cities in just under a month.

Mosquito Love is out now via Sumoclic.
