ThxSoMch wrestles with inner demons on the explosive ‘Would You?’

Toronto-based post-punk artist ThxSoMch delivers a raw and gripping punch with his latest single ‘Would You?,’ a track that dives headfirst into the chaos of intrusive thoughts. Out now via Atlantic Records, the track is a self-aware and distorted anthem produced by grayskies (D4VD, Wisp) and mixed by the legendary Mike Crossey (Arctic Monkeys, The 1975).
‘Would You?’ is a tightly wound release—angsty, melodic, and grungy in all the right places. ThxSoMch combines pounding drums and fevered vocals with a hook-laced melody that channels a kind of dark sarcasm. As the tension builds, the track becomes a sonic mirror of the internal chaos it explores, walking a line between emotional breakdown and catharsis.
The artist explains:
“‘Would You?’ is a twisted joke with a self-deprecating punchline. It was the first song grayskies and I made in Brazil, and it kind of built itself. It plays with the line between my intrusive thoughts and real actions—dark, sarcastic, and vulnerable beneath the mask.”
The single arrives alongside a haunting, horror-inspired video influenced by Darren Aronofsky films like Requiem for a Dream and Black Swan. Shot in Toronto, the visual channels the same intimate dread as the track itself—unhinged, dark, and emotionally bare.
‘Would You?’ is available now on your favorite DSP.
