Thundercat reunites with Mac Miller on reflective new single ‘She Knows Too Much’
Thundercat releases new single ‘She Knows Too Much’ (feat. Mac Miller), taken from his fifth studio album Distracted, out April 3 via Brainfeeder. The track arrives alongside a video directed by Léa Esmaili and produced by Blinkink, marking a long-awaited collaboration released with the blessing of the Mac Miller Estate.
‘She Knows Too Much’ captures the dynamic between two longtime collaborators, pairing Thundercat’s sturdy basslines and falsetto with Mac Miller’s assured delivery. The single extends Distracted‘s broader commentary on digital progress and the attention economy, while centering on intimacy and the emotional fallout of knowing too much. Completed with producer Greg Kurstin after receiving permission from the Mac Miller Estate, the song presents what Thundercat describes as the ultimate vision of the collaboration.
Thundercat shares:
“I’m grateful to have spent my time on this planet with Mac. What an artist, what a spirit, what a joy to have experienced.”
‘She Knows Too Much’ (feat. Mac Miller) is out now, with Distracted set for release April 3 via Brainfeeder Records.
