The Family Battenberg lets loose on fuzzy new single ‘Anteater!’

Welsh garage rockers The Family Battenberg have returned with ‘Anteater!,’ a blistering new single out now across all streaming platforms.
Recorded at Tom Rees’ (Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard) studio while he was away on holiday, and mastered by longtime collaborator Eddie Al-Shakarchi (Boy Azooga, Loathe, Swim Deep), the South Walian four-piece deliver a track that finesses their “spider rock” sound—filthy, fuzzy, and wholly psychedelic. Written in a single day, ‘Anteater!’ is a raw, high-energy anti-love song propelled by scorching guitar, ricocheting vocals, and a relentless double-tracked mono drumbeat that refuses to let up.
As frontman Eliot puts it:
“It’s self-humiliation in the pursuit of a potential suitor’s attention.”
Catch them live on tour and dive into ‘Anteater!’ now—it’s a track that bites as hard as it grooves.
