Thank share satirical new single ‘Woke Frasier’

Ahead of their second album I Have A Physical Body That Can Be Harmed, Leeds-based band Thank has released their latest single, ‘Woke Frasier,’ a biting and humorous critique of modern social commentary.
‘Woke Frasier’ serves as the final teaser for the band’s upcoming album, blending sharp satire with a darker, more eerie sound. The track takes aim at right-wing figures who label anything they oppose as “woke,” using tongue-in-cheek lyrics like, “Bad news, your credit card details are now woke,” to mock the absurdity of such claims. This mix of humor and social criticism is delivered through a soundscape that leans into elements of goth, new wave, and techno, with guest saxophonist Robin Smith from Lo Egin adding depth to the instrumentation.
Vocalist Freddy Vinehill-Cliffe explains that the song was written from the perspective of a right-wing podcast host.
“When we played this in Bedford someone got mad at me because they thought it was about Joe Rogan, it isn’t about Joe Rogan but also fuck Joe Rogan.”
With its sardonic wit and a video full of absurdist references to The Simpsons and Frasier, ‘Woke Frasier’ continues to showcase Thank’s unique brand of satirical music, setting the stage for their upcoming album release.
