Ten Fé returns with hypnotic new single ‘Space Invader’

UK cult indie rock band Ten Fé has made a powerful return after a four-year hiatus with their new single, ‘Space Invader.’
‘Space Invader’ marks the band’s first new music since 2020’s ‘Nothing Breaks Like A Heart.’ Recorded at ICP Studios in Brussels with Luke Smith, known for his work with Foals and Depeche Mode, and mixed by Dan Goodwin, the track showcases a raw and honest sound. With influences from the Plastic Ono Band, Perfume Genius, and Donny Hathaway, ‘Space Invader’ is both anthemic and introspective.
Reflecting on the song’s meaning, Ten Fé explains:
“It is a moment of reflection in the midst of an argument. It’s the moment you realise that you’re wrong, but you’ve pushed the other person too far away to bring them back and resolve. And instead, the more you argue and convince yourself you’re right, the more you continue to push the other person away. In my case, I pursue, and invade the other person’s space…communication has broken down and I’ve lost them.”
‘Space Invader’ is out now.
