Swimming With Bears explores complex emotions with new single ‘Patient Disguise’
Known for their high-energy performances, the four-piece group brings an emotional edge to their distinctive sound, capturing a raw intensity that has earned them a loyal following.
‘Patient Disguise’ delivers an emotional experience that merges feelings of pain, loneliness, and exhilaration. Lead singer Joe Perry’s powerful vocals shine as the heartbeat of the track, elevated by a gripping bassline, robust drums, and vivid guitar riffs. Produced by Matt Noveskey and mixed by Victor Gaspar, the track represents an evolution of the band’s sound. The accompanying music video, directed by Kevin C. McDermo, amplifies this intensity, showcasing eerie visuals of Joe being consumed by hands in white gloves—a striking depiction of isolation and longing for connection.
Reflecting on the single, Swimming With Bears shared:
“‘Patient Disguise’ began as a demo track we recorded during the COVID lockdown on an old computer. After sitting on the shelf for a while, we pulled it up in the studio during a brainstorming session with our producer. The result is a fully mastered version that has become a standout song at live concerts. Its evolution reflects creativity and resilience, turning a moment of uncertainty into one of our most celebrated tracks.”
‘Patient Disguise’ is out now.
