St. Panther explores love and loss on soulful new single ‘The Deal’

Los Angeles-based artist St. Panther (Dani Bojorges-Giraldo, they/them) has released their soulful R&B single ‘The Deal’ today (October 16, 2025) via drink sum wtr. Co-produced by McClenney (H.E.R., Khalid, Jamila Woods), the track arrives with an accompanying live performance video featuring long-time collaborators and previews the forthcoming EP Strange World, due November 7.
Enriched by hypnotic basslines and jazzy keys, ‘The Deal’ explores love, loss, and the quiet ache of reflection. The song marks a turning point within Strange World, pausing to examine personal tenderness amid constant movement. Its sound blends R&B warmth with classic soul textures, offering both intimacy and emotional weight.
On the new single, St. Panther said:
“Now I’m not sure if it’s always right to, but I tend to put music where prolonged silences live. I’m not sure why it’s so hard to say what sometimes only music can, but in this case I wish someone had known me better and wanted to write a song like Dido’s ‘White Flag’ shortly afterward, a song that said – if nothing else – my love was true.”
‘The Deal’ is available now on all streaming platforms. Strange World arrives November 7 via drink sum wtr.
