LA-based duo SPELLES is back with a spine-tingling new single, ‘Devil In This House,’ just in time for the Halloween season.

‘Devil In This House’ is a haunting doo-wop-inspired ballad that transports listeners into a world of supernatural dread and creeping paranoia. Kathryn Baar’s soulful, intimate vocals take center stage, while a rumbling low-octave synth bass underscores the song’s sense of impending doom. The song’s chilling lyrics, like “Curtains swaying in the breeze while a shadow’s hunting me” and “I try to escape so my soul won’t be claimed,” explore themes of mental health, paranoia, and the loss of reality, adding depth to the track’s unsettling vibe.

Written, performed, and produced by Baar and Luc Laurent, with piano contributions from Jason Hirth and mixing by George Dum, ‘Devil In This House’ is a masterclass in eerie, cinematic storytelling and an ideal addition to any spooky season playlist.
