Sea Fever shares new single ‘Go To Ground’ ahead of second album

Manchester’s Sea Fever has released ‘Go To Ground,’ the fourth single from their upcoming second album Surface Sound, due out May 30 via Cosmic Glue.
A self-assured and high-energy dancefloor anthem, ‘Go To Ground’ finds the band confidently fusing syncopated electronic beats with anthemic choruses and shimmering guitar lines. Drawing on influences from electronic pioneers like Giorgio Moroder, Sea Fever’s new single embraces outsiders and dreamers alike, offering a synth-driven escape rooted in personal ambition and social reflection.
Bassist Tom Chapman, also of New Order, describes the single as their:
“Italo-Manc disco track… an electronic funky experiment of syncopated beats and anthemic chorus.”
Singer, guitarist, and lyricist, Iwan Gronow says:
“‘Go To Ground’ is an upbeat, no-nonsense song about ambition and change. People can be held back by the system, dulled down, and told to stay in their place and this is our call to climb out of the box that people put us in. Positive thinking brought me to Manchester in the first place, grew my self-belief and I’ve always tried to follow this doctrine. Feelings of being lost change to being more certain about who you are and where you are going.”
Sea Fever will support the album with a series of intimate in-store acoustic performances, as well as an album launch show in Manchester and a slot at Kendal Calling. Confirmed dates include:
May 30 — Manchester, The Yard (Album Launch Show)
May 31 — Halifax, Loafers
July 1 — Liverpool, Jacaranda
July 2 — Bury, Wax and Beans
August 2 — Kendal Calling
August 5 — Kingston, Banquet Records
