Minnesota-based singer and songwriter runo plum returns with a gorgeous new single titled ‘Lemon Garland,’ her first release since signing to indie label Winspear (Wishy, Slow Pulp, Teethe).

‘Lemon Garland’ was recorded in rural Vermont with Lutalo, the Vermont-based musician and producer best known for their acclaimed debut The Academy. The single marks a confident introduction to runo’s next chapter—one marked by lush textures, warm instrumentation, and soft emotional clarity. Built around the rich resonance of a 12-string guitar, the song creates a dreamy vision of shared life, imagined in the middle of the woods and soundtracked by plum’s finely layered vocals. It’s a stirring and hopeful meditation wrapped in a strummy, ethereal daze.

Of the track, runo plum says:

“This song is me dreaming and longing for friendship. I imagine living in a giant old house in the middle of the woods, hosting my friends, and feeling pure bliss. I’ve had little glimpses of this over the past few years, but I currently live pretty isolated from the world. There’s a beautiful 12-string on this that adds such fullness to the song, which feels really representative of the community/friendship theme.”

With her signing to Winspear and the release of ‘Lemon Garland,’ runo plum emerges as a growing voice in indie folk.
