Ritt Momney has released the new single ‘GUNNA’ today, January 30, 2026, offering the first glimpse of his forthcoming album BASE, due out February 27.

Ritt Momney—the project of Salt Lake City–based artist Jack Rutter—releases ‘GUNNA’ as the lead single from his third studio album BASE, arriving February 27. The track introduces a new chapter for Rutter, who describes the album as his most realized work to date, rooted in lo-fi bedroom rock and built around warmth, honesty, and a renewed sense of creative purpose.

‘GUNNA’ reflects the sonic direction of BASE, leaning into a more live and analog sound than Rutter’s previous releases. The song opens with acoustic guitars and distortion before Rutter’s vocals enter, delivering a narrative centered on waiting and uncertainty. Recorded with bandmates Rick West and Chris Peranich, the track was shaped through a collaborative process, using an 8-track setup with the intention of keeping the music organic and unpolished.

Rutter states:

“I believe in base creativity. Some kind of pure being. A solid foundation.”

‘GUNNA’ is available now to stream on all major platforms.
