NYC duo Pry has released a soaring new single, ‘Heaven,’ as the latest preview of their upcoming debut album Wrapped in Plastic, set to arrive May 29, 2025.

Comprised of Simeon Beardsley and Amara Bush, Pry continues their streak of emotionally resonant tracks with ‘Heaven,’ a daydream-inducing song that opens slowly with soft harmonies, rhythmic synths, and booming percussion. Midway through, the track undergoes a thrilling shift—building into a euphoric, chaotic breakdown underscored by the declaration: “Feels like heaven to me.” Both powerful and vulnerable, the song encapsulates Pry’s signature mix of nostalgia-tinged energy and dynamic contrast.

Pry states:

“This is the first song we rehearsed with a live band. It is a favorite part of the album for its simplicity, structure, and juxtaposition to the other tracks, and even to itself, from beginning to end. The lyrics reflect living in a routine that feels like it necessitates yet simultaneously limits your access to ‘escape’ in any meaningful way. So we take what we can get.”

‘Heaven’ is the opening track of Wrapped in Plastic, a debut that promises to deliver jangly tones, gritty textures, and a blend of shoegaze and alt-rock that has already earned the band recognition—most notably with their recent single ‘Tether You.’

Pry will celebrate the album’s release with a special show at Night Club 101 in New York on May 31, joined by fellow local acts Crate and Cal Fish. As ‘Heaven’ reveals, Pry is poised to make a striking debut—one filled with longing, contrast, and catharsis.
