Pink Must captures longing with new single ‘Karaoke of the Bends’

Brooklyn-based duo Pink Must has shared their latest single, ‘Karaoke of the Bends,’ ahead of their self-titled debut album, set for release on February 28 via 15 Love.
Built around the emotions of a long-distance relationship, ‘Karaoke of the Bends’ distills that aching anticipation of wanting to be near someone even when a reunion is imminent. Avery’s wistful delivery pairs with a shifting, layered arrangement crafted by her collaborator, Mari Maurice Rubio, known as More Eaze. The track is a delicate yet disorienting blend of longing and nostalgia, enhanced by dreamy textures and a sense of suspended time. The accompanying video, created by Avery and Alice Hall, reflects this mood through surreal, karaoke-style visuals that reinforce the song’s intimate themes.
Avery says:
“It’s that kind of corny ‘I know I’ll see you soon, but I want to see you tonight’ feeling and doing karaoke of songs from The Bends by Radiohead.”
With ‘Karaoke of the Bends,’ Pink Must offers a heartfelt reflection on distance and connection, setting the stage for their debut album’s blend of rich textures and deeply personal songwriting.
