Pick a Piper explores introspection in their new track ‘Histérica Histórica,’ featuring Mabe Fratti
Pick a Piper releases new single ‘Histérica Histórica’ with Mabe Fratti, out now via Halocline Trance, as the final preview of LP Dandelion (out March 13). The Toronto duo, Brad Weber and Sophia Alexandra, collaborate with Guatemalan cellist/composer Mabe Fratti.
Exploring themes of time, memory, confusion, and fear, ‘Histérica Histórica’ attempts to decipher what we don’t understand or find ourselves caught between. The track reflects the album’s focus on isolation versus connection, emphasizing how understanding ourselves and others can be a fragmented and complex process. Sonically, it blends melodic electronica, breaks, UK garage, and 808 bass music, pairing ethereal vocals with skippy beats, warm subs, hyperactive percussion, and expansive sound design.
‘Histérica Histórica’ is out now and available to stream on all major platforms.
We’ve covered Pick A Piper previously: ‘Emerald.’
