Taken from his forthcoming album Afterglow, the track showcases Ohr’s signature blend of 90s electronica with psychedelic textures and sampled rhythms.

Seattle-based musician Ohr, known for his fusion of rock and electronica, has released a sun-soaked new track titled ‘Runaway.’ The track dives deep into the theme of connection, exploring the unpredictable and wild path of navigating life with another person. The track is heavily inspired by the driving quality and directness of early House records, with vocal samples tying the elements together. Originally conceived as part of a larger piece with ‘Endless Love,’ Ohr decided to split the tracks for the album, although he still performs them as a single piece live.

Ohr explains:

“‘Runaway’ is about connection and submitting ourselves to the wild and uncertain path of navigating life with another human. Musically I was really inspired by the driving quality and directness of early House records and the out front vocal samples that often tied everything together.”

‘Runaway’ is out now. Afterglow is out Friday, August 30th.
