Ohr captures summer on upbeat new single ‘Ride the Wave’
Seattle-based musician Craig Klein, who records under the name Ohr, has released his new single ‘Ride the Wave’ today. The single is from his upcoming album, Afterglow, set to release on August 30th via Headstate Records.
Ohr’s newest single, Ride the Wave,’ encapsulates the sun-soaked vibes of summer, blending psychedelic textures and sampled rhythms with an upbeat, stirring, and hopeful sound.
Klein says:
“‘Ride the Wave’ set the tone and palette of the whole album. I chopped up bits of myself and Bob Husak playing live drums along with it, sampling those performances and layering it all together with sounds I made on my old Elektron Machinedrum. There are alot of different synths and sequences in there as well, highlighted by the organ part in the middle where I played on an old 1960s Ace Tone. Lyrically the song is about riding the wave of anxiety, intense feelings or situations and remembering that they won’t last forever.”
‘Ride the Wave’ is out now. Afterglow is set to release on August 30th via Headstate Records.
