Norabelle tell their story on new single ‘I Am Not a Talker’

Indie folk band Norabelle returns with ‘I Am Not a Talker,’ a deeply introspective new single serving as an emotional introduction to their upcoming album, The Mountain Blinks, which arrives on April 11th, 2025.
‘I Am Not a Talker’ is a delicate yet evocative composition that explores the struggle of processing grief and the difficulty of expressing loss. The song’s hushed melodies, intricate instrumentation, and melancholic tone draws inspiration from artists like Sun Kil Moon, Bonnie Prince Billy, and Elliott Smith. Accompanied by a haunting music video featuring footage from Foreclosed by Eoin Heaney, the visuals further emphasize the themes of fading memories and the passage of time.
“‘I Am Not a Talker’ is about being unable to speak about grief even after such a long period of time. It’s about internalising it instead and allowing it to colour your view of life. The song also touches on a major theme of the album, the unreliability of memory.”
‘I Am Not a Talker’ is out now.
