My Best Unbeaten Brother, the latest project from Ben and Adam Parker, has released their second single ‘Extraordinary Times’ from their upcoming debut mini-album Pessimistic Pizza, set to drop on June 28th via Audio Antihero.

Previously known for their work in Nosferatu D2, Tempertwig, and Superman Revenge Squad the Parker brothers have released their latest track, ‘Extraordinary Times.’ The song features nostalgic guitar twangs and references to Morrissey, echoing their earlier bands’ influences. It transitions into a more hopeful and optimistic tone, reflecting a maturity and earnestness not present in their earlier work.

Vocalist and guitarist Ben Parker describes ‘Extraordinary Times’ as “a post-Brexit cry for something better in a time and place where it feels like all the good stuff is going away and all the bad people are winning.”

Pessimistic Pizza is a seven-song collection that reflects on aging, sadness, and anger in a post-Brexit world. Parker elaborates, “Seven songs by three men from Croydon. Inspired by getting older, getting sadder, getting angrier with a post-Brexit world where The Smiths have been ruined by the actions of the ex-singer. Learning to let go; learning to be Spider-Man; trying to understand The Fall; trying to understand life and death, and trying to understand records by The Steve Miller Band.”

The Parker brothers’ return marks the end of a ten-year hiatus, bringing back their literate and urgent style to the indie rock scene. With ‘Extraordinary Times’ and the upcoming Pessimistic Pizza, My Best Unbeaten Brother continues to build on their legacy, blending indie rock, emo, and post-punk influences.

Pessimistic Pizza will be available on June 28th.
