‘Anesthetic’ centers on themes of sensation, numbness, and internal conflict, moving deliberately between restraint and intensity. The single highlights vocalist Rae Haas navigating emotional paralysis and release, with the band shifting from subdued passages into heavier, more visceral sections. The track’s dynamic arc reflects MX LONELY’s alt-rock foundation, pairing jagged guitar textures and insistent rhythms with a tightly controlled sense of tension. Haas says:
