Munan blends jungle and nostalgia on latest single ‘Jeju Organic Green Tea’
South Korean–Australian artist Munan continues the rollout for his upcoming EP Everything in Between with the release of his new single, ‘Jeju Organic Green Tea,’ out now on all major streaming platforms.
Building on the momentum of earlier singles like ‘Stoked & Stoned,’ ‘Fake Love Friday Night,’ and ‘Naked,’ Munan offers one last taste of what’s to come before the EP drops on May 28. ‘Jeju Organic Green Tea’ is a vibrant blend of jungle, rock, and drum & bass, drawing inspiration from the golden era of 1990s and 2000s video game and music culture. The track is powered by jazz-infused chords and fast-paced drum patterns, creating an energetic and rhythm-driven soundscape that nods to classic gaming soundtracks while carving out its own lane.
“The song’s title came from a tea bag I found labeled Jeju Organic Green Tea in Korea. It made me wonder how something packaged in bulk could be considered organic. This sparked a thought about how anything found in nature can have its own special meaning. As a gamer, I was always drawn to the Jungle and DnB sounds that shaped gaming culture back then. I worked with some friends on the bass and drums to make sure we captured that vibe perfectly.”
‘Jeju Organic Green Tea’ is out now. With Everything in Between arriving May 28, the single sets the stage for an exciting next chapter in his sonic evolution.
