Moon Panda shares dreamy new single ‘Lost World’ from upcoming album Dumb Luck
California/Danish dream pop band Moon Panda has returned with ‘Lost World,’ the lush and introspective lead single from their upcoming third album Dumb Luck, out October 3 via Moon Panda/Virgin Music Group. Accompanied by a surreal and atmospheric video, the track offers the first glimpse into the band’s most collaborative and personal record to date.
Built around airy synth textures, spacious guitar lines, and Maddy Myers’ delicate vocals, ‘Lost World’ captures the emotional weight of questioning one’s identity within a fading relationship. The track reflects on the fear of rebuilding when life no longer fits the shape it once did. Musically, it floats with the ease and glow that have come to define Moon Panda’s sound, while lyrically diving deep into themes of change and uncertainty.

To contemplate having to start over and figure out who you are again. The older and more settled in this life and relationship I get the more terrifying the idea becomes.
‘Lost World’ sets the tone for Dumb Luck, a project that the band describes as their most collaborative yet. Recorded at their home studio with bandmate George Godwin producing and Adam Thein (Djo) co-producing, the album captures a blend of personalities and styles—from Myers’ lyrical introspection to Gustav Moltke’s explosive guitar work, Josh Cabitac’s precise percussion, and Godwin’s experimental flair. The result is a 10-track journey of soft power, quirky depth, and sonic cohesion.
