Michigander, the acclaimed indie rock project led by Jason Singer, has premiered its emotionally charged new single, ‘Emotional,’ today, ahead of the release of the debut album Michigander set to arrive on February 7, 2025.

‘Emotional’ is a testament to Michigander’s signature blend of heartfelt lyricism and uplifting indie rock, a sound that has garnered Jason Singer both critical and fan acclaim over the years. The track was co-written with producer Jeremy Lutito, whose synth bass and drumbeat set the tone for the song. A reflection on the challenges of personal growth, ‘Emotional’ resonates with its themes of human vulnerability and resilience, offering listeners a poignant glimpse into the album’s overarching narrative.

Singer explains:

“‘Emotional’ was one of the first songs Jeremy Lutito and I wrote together… The song is about trying to progress as a human in spite of being human. I think most people are just trying their best, and that’s all we can really do.”

‘Emotional’ is out now on your favorite DSP.
