Liam Foody embraces patience in new single ‘Waiting For You’
Emerging Irish indie artist Liam Foody is back with his second single, ‘Waiting For You.’
Following his July debut ‘Take Your Hand,’ Foody’s latest single continues to showcase his knack for heartfelt storytelling. ‘Waiting For You’ delves into the complexities of relationships, focusing on the feeling of finding the right person at the wrong time. The song, produced by fellow Mayo native Kriss Burda, sat unfinished on Foody’s computer for two years before finally coming together in the studio.
Reflecting on the collaboration, Foody says:
“I always knew it was going to be a great track, but it wasn’t until I showed it to Kriss in the studio that it flourished into the final track you hear now. Once I heard the finished version, I knew it was the perfect song to release as my second single. Lyrically, the song deals with a right person, wrong time scenario. Sometimes things in life don’t always fall into place like you expect them to. ‘Waiting For You’ represents the acceptance of this and the understanding that some of the best things in life are worth waiting for.
With nods to Irish indie acts like The Academic and Inhaler, ‘Waiting For You’ is an evocative addition to Foody’s discography.
