Canadian singer-songwriter Leif Vollebekk has released his final single, ‘Peace of Mind (Evening),’ ahead of his highly anticipated album Revelation, set to drop on September 27, 2024.

‘Peace of Mind (Evening)’ is a captivating reimagining of the album track ‘Peace of Mind,’ co-produced and mixed by David Baron. Vollebekk explains that this version “wanted to be its own thing,” with jangly guitars, 80s-inspired synthesizers, and drums that give it a distinct late-night radio vibe. Though not featured on the upcoming album, this single offers fans a glimpse into Vollebekk’s creative process, revealing a different side of his musical vision.

Reflecting on the song, Vollebekk shared:

“Singing this song, it just kind of sets me free. The melody came along fully formed right after I’d spent a few weeks’ vacation with my family. I rediscovered my solitude for the first time in a while. And, in the stillness, I sang about them. I dreamt a child placed a dandelion on my grave. For some reason, I awoke incredibly peaceful. What does that mean?”

As Vollebekk prepares for the release of Revelation and a string of U.S. tour dates, ‘Peace of Mind (Evening)’ provides an intriguing final preview of what’s to come from this introspective artist.
