Italian post-punk band Leatherette have released their new single ‘Hey There’ today (October 17, 2025), ahead of their forthcoming third album Ritmo Lento, due November 28 via Bronson Recordings.

Produced with an emphasis on experimental minimalism, ‘Hey There’ layers a fragile and intimate vocal over a languid bass riff, gradually building into a poetic crescendo supported by acoustic guitar and saxophone. The track’s dreamlike and immersive atmosphere marks one of the most introspective and unsettling moments on the upcoming album.

The band explains:

“‘Hey There,’ both in intention and production, is one of the most stripped-back and direct songs we’ve ever written: we decided to lay bare fragility and intrusive thoughts, transforming them into a gesture of resistance. It’s a dive into melancholy and obsession, but also a middle finger to all of that. In its simplicity, it’s a small manifesto of the contradictions of Ritmo Lento.”

‘Hey There’ is available now on all streaming platforms. Ritmo Lento arrives November 28 via Bronson Recordings.
