Langkamer announce third album Langzamer and release lead single ‘Richard E Grant’
Bristol-based slacker-rock quartet Langkamer is back with its third album, Langzamer, set to release on October 16, 2024, via Breakfast Records. Ahead of the album, the band has shared the lead single ‘Richard E Grant.’
‘Richard E Grant’ is a bittersweet meditation on loss, showcasing Langkamer’s distinctive heart-on-sleeve slacker rock. The track is driven by a compelling percussive combination of guitar and bass, accentuated by rousing synth lines.
Recorded at The Cornish Bank in Falmouth with producer Ben Woods (of The Golden Dregs), the song is a reflection on coping with grief.
Drummer and lead vocalist Josh Jarman explains:
“This is a song about grief, in the short term and the long term. It’s about finding healthy coping strategies to deal with loss.”
The upcoming album, Langzamer sees Langkamer tackling profound themes like death and faith, infused with the band’s seasoned approach to songwriting and recording. The album promises to elevate their sound with new depths of emotion and lyrical exploration.
‘Richard E Grant’ is out now. Langzamer is set for release on October 16, 2024, via Breakfast Records.
