South Wales punks Kikker drop ferocious new single ‘Destroy’

South Wales punk outfit Kikker returns with their blistering new single ‘Destroy,’ out now via Death Monkey Records. Emerging from Swansea’s thriving DIY scene, the band delivers an intense, existentially charged anthem that showcases their raw and unfiltered approach to punk rock.
With a sound reminiscent of The Fall, Buzzcocks, and The Cult, ‘Destroy’ is a high-octane track that channels frustration, chaos, and the struggles of modern existence. The song grapples with cycles of emotional overwhelm, questioning the structures of a world that feels increasingly impossible to navigate. Blending grunge-infused alt-rock with a sharp punk ethos, Kikker crafts a sound that is both aggressive and deeply introspective.
Speaking on the track, Matt from the band explains:
“‘Destroy’ is existentially nihilistic in its nature. It’s about cycles of overwhelm, repeatedly passing the mental threshold where everything becomes too much to handle; inevitable breakdown. It questions how we deal with emotional struggle that is both repetitive and consistent. The modern world is a difficult and complex place to navigate, its systems and structures unnecessarily (but intentionally) causing detriment to psyche and wellbeing. God is a fraud, so what can we turn to to help us navigate through showers of shit?”
‘Destroy’ is out now.
