Josef Scott explores the thrill of new love in ‘Picture Me’
‘Picture Me’ serves as the first preview of Scott’s upcoming EP, Beacon Hill, set to drop in November.
Auckland-bred, Boston-based artist Josef Scott has released his latest single, ‘Picture Me,’ offering a light-hearted glimpse into the excitement of newfound attraction. The single captures the playful and dreamy state of mind that comes with the early stages of falling for someone, as Scott reminisces about the moment he first met his partner. With a blend of acoustic guitar and heartfelt lyrics, the track paints a vivid picture of the push and pull of unspoken attraction and the uncertainty that accompanies it.
Reflecting on the inspiration behind the song, Scott shared:
“‘Picture Me’ came to life one afternoon in my apartment in Boston. I was playing around on my acoustic guitar, and reminiscing about the time I met my partner for the first time. It’s a light-hearted take on the thrill of being really into someone but not knowing where things might go. I was caught up in the excitement of it all, hoping she might see me the way I saw her.”
‘Picture Me’ is out now.
