Jane’s Addiction release new single ‘True Love’ amid hiatus
Just days after announcing a hiatus following an onstage altercation, Jane’s Addiction has surprised fans with the release of their latest single, ‘True Love.’
Following the success of ‘Imminent Redemption,’ ‘True Love’ continues to showcase the iconic musical chemistry between Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro, Stephen Perkins, and Eric Avery. The track features the familiar rumbling drumbeats, echoing guitar lines, and Farrell’s distinct vocals that long-time fans of the band will instantly recognize.
‘True Love’ arrives amid a tumultuous period for the band. Earlier this week, Jane’s Addiction announced a break after Farrell’s public altercation with Navarro during a live performance. The reunion has not been without its difficulties, as Navarro, Perkins, and Avery pointed to Farrell’s “continuing pattern of behavior” as a reason for the tour’s cancellation. Farrell, for his part, has publicly apologized, taking “full accountability” for his actions.
‘True Love’ is out now.
