IDO finds beauty in the fall on debut single ‘October (Under the Big Blue Sky)’

London-based independent artist IDO has released his debut single ‘October (Under the Big Blue Sky)’ today (October 17, 2025), the first offering from his forthcoming album Autumn Vol. 1. The track arrives as a soulful and cinematic introduction to his unique fusion of alternative rock and soul, recorded live with a full band to capture the raw, authentic energy of the studio.
From its opening moments, ‘October (Under the Big Sky)’ paints a vivid soundscape of woods, concrete walls, and open skies. Through heartfelt lyrics and delicate melodies, IDO explores the quiet beauty of falling apart and finding peace within it—a reflection of the changing season that inspired its creation. The single was written and composed on IDO’s beloved white piano, later arranged and produced by Gal Bachar, his long-time collaborator and creative partner. The pair’s synergy shines through in the track’s blend of soulful honesty and atmospheric textures, resulting in a sound both intimate and expansive.
IDO shares:
“October is about acceptance. It’s about letting go, and finding beauty in the fall.”
To celebrate the release, IDO has announced several upcoming shows, including Listening Party by The White Piano on October 22, a full band performance at SJQ Dalston on November 3, and a piano show at The Carlton Tavern on December 4.
‘October (Under the Big Blue Sky)’ is available now on all streaming platforms. Autumn Vol. 1 arrives soon.
