Austin’s Holy Wave returns with a dreamy, vintage-tinged single, ‘Father’s Prayer,’ the lead track from their upcoming Studio 22 Singles and B-Sides EP, out April 25 via Suicide Squeeze Records.

Recorded in early 2022 during an impromptu post-tour session at LA’s Studio 22 with longtime friend Tomas Dolas, ‘Father’s Prayer’ emerged from a time of transition and reconnection. The track serves as a centerpiece of the seven-song collection, which pulls together previously released singles like ‘Chaparral’ and ‘Cowprint’ with fresh material.

Steeped in lysergic textures and breezy electric piano, ‘Father’s Prayer’ recalls the melodic elegance of ’60s icons like The Zombies, enriched by Holy Wave’s signature blend of hazy atmospherics and layered instrumentation. The inclusion of dizzying mellotron swells lends a surreal quality that’s both nostalgic and forward-reaching.

Studio 22 Singles and B-Sides lands April 25 on digital platforms and vinyl, offering a kaleidoscopic look at Holy Wave’s continued evolution through their most intimate and spontaneous recordings to date.
