German-Swiss duo Grandbrothers return with a bold new direction on ‘We Collide,’ the first single from their upcoming album Elsewhere, out September 26, 2025, via their new label imprint, and others.

Known for their innovative use of a single instrument—the grand piano—across four acclaimed albums, Grandbrothers (Erol Sarp and Lukas Vogel) have opened a new chapter with ‘We Collide.’ Driven by intricate drum loops and brooding analog synths, the track marks a striking departure from the strictly piano-based compositions of their earlier work. While the piano still plays a central role in the song’s flowing melodies, it’s now part of a larger sonic landscape, one that leans into electronic rhythms and modern textures with confidence and clarity.

Directed by Austrian filmmaker Rupert Höller, the music video adds a further dimension to the track’s emotional weight. Höller describes his approach as “a visual journey from disorientation to acceptance,” using abstract imagery to capture the song’s hypnotic energy.

Grandbrothers agree:

“He really understood what we were going for – the dynamics, the transitions, that inner tension building slowly throughout. And he found a visual language that translates the energy of the music into motion.”

‘We Collide’ is both a bold statement and an invitation—ushering in a new era for Grandbrothers with rhythm, resonance, and renewed vision.
