Flooding shares fierce new single ‘depictions of the female body’ ahead of object 1 EP

Kansas noise-rock trio Flooding returns with a gripping new single, ‘depictions of the female body.’ The track serves as the final preview from their upcoming EP object 1, out July 11 via Big Hassle Media.
Built around waves of feedback, driving percussion, and Rose Brown’s emotionally bare vocal performance, ‘depictions of the female body’ burns with the tension of longing and internal struggle. Lyrically, Brown confesses, “i’m sick and i know it / but it’s hard letting go of it / i tried to forget her,” striking at the heart of vulnerability and obsessive longing.
Rose Brown explains:
“Sexual fantasies are a form of hope. If you’re ever horribly depressed, you should try having a crush on someone.”
With object 1 set to arrive next month, ‘depictions of the female body’ showcases Flooding at their most emotionally arresting, solidifying their place as one of today’s most compelling underground bands.
