Fib returns with reflective new single ‘You Ruined Everything’

Philadelphia-based band Fib shares the final preview of their upcoming debut album Heavy Lifting with the release of ‘You Ruined Everything.’
The new track marks the third and final single from Heavy Lifting, out April 25, 2025, via Julia’s War Recordings. On ‘You Ruined Everything,’ Fib explores the quiet devastation of self-isolation and emotional defense mechanisms. Through soft vocals and textured acoustic swells, the song reveals how putting up walls can lead to the erosion of connection. Rather than issuing blame, the title reads like a weary confession, delivering the sentiment with a tone that is more mournful than accusatory.
Speaking on the record, Julia’s War founder Douglas Dulgarian described Fib as:
“…free jazz in an era where everything else is getting more cookie cutter and snapped to the grid… If you have ever seen Fib live, you can attest to the fact that it’s one of the most insane experiences possible.”
Heavy Lifting arrives April 25, and to celebrate, Fib will play two album release shows—April 25 at Rabbit Hole in Brooklyn and April 26 at MiniMart in Philadelphia.
