Virtual artist DEATHPIXIE has officially signed with deadmau5′ future-forward independent label mau5trap, marking a significant milestone as the first virtual artist in the electronic music landscape.

Born in the shadows of New Tokyo, DEATHPIXIE represents a new breed of digital artist whose sound blends phonk, trap, techno, bass house, and dubstep into cinematic, high-speed descents. Her music captures the essence of “what plays when a blood-red RX-7 drifts through a neon wasteland” – raw, surreal, and charged with underground energy.

The signing came after DEATHPIXIE posted covers on SoundCloud this spring, including tracks by The White Stripes and The Prodigy alongside her version of ‘Raise Your Weapon.’ The latter caught the attention of mau5trap and label boss deadmau5, who quickly signed both the record and a forthcoming EP due October 31.

Created by an emerging group of songwriters, producers, and animators, DEATHPIXIE follows in the footsteps of virtual artists like Gorillaz and Hatsune Miku while carving out her own genre-bending lane where worldbuilding meets raw electronic power.

‘Raise Your Weapon’ (Deathpizie’s Requiem) is available now on all streaming platforms, with DEATHPIXIE’s debut mau5trap EP arriving October 31, followed by immersive live performances.
