David Shaw unveils optimistic new single ‘Arms of the River’
Acclaimed singer-songwriter and founding member of The Revivalists, David Shaw, has released his newest single, ‘Arms of the River.’ The track comes ahead of his second solo album Take A Look Inside, which drops on October 4th, 2024.
‘Arms of the River’ stands as a beacon of hope and optimism. Recorded at Esplanade Studios in New Orleans, the song showcases Shaw’s talent for blending heartfelt lyrics with an organic, bluesy sound. With soft acoustic guitar and ethereal piano guiding the melody, the song delivers a message of perseverance and emotional healing.
Inspired by a rough patch his sister experienced, Shaw reveals:
“My sister was going through a rough patch and I wanted to craft something for her that could potentially lift her spirits and make her feel better. It’s definitely a family tune. The single artwork is an old picture of us, so it’s very special.”
‘Arms of the River’ is out now.
