Country Girl previews Patience EP with single ‘Getting Started’

Brooklyn-based artist Country Girl has unveiled his new single ‘Getting Started,’ a preview of the forthcoming EP, Patience, due October 17, 2025, via FADER Label.
‘Getting Started’ captures Country Girl’s dreamy and introspective songwriting, pairing whispery yet propulsive vocals with skittering drums and gold-flecked fretwork. The track builds toward a cathartic final chorus, layered with fuzzy guitar solos that reflect the intimate and detailed sonic world of the new EP. The single follows the lead track ‘Miracle’ and further establishes the songwriter’s ability to capture fleeting moments of urban stillness and presence through shimmering indie pop soundscapes.
On the track, Country Girl explains:
“A fire escape, a name said wrong, a window left open. a song about how we were only halfway through.”
Patience promises five tracks that embody a shadowy yet glistening aesthetic, with contributions from Sam Glick of Test Subjects and Russell Holzman from Caroline Polachek’s live band, though much of the project was crafted in solitude at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The EP release will be celebrated with a live performance at Stone Circle Theatre in New York City on October 17, following a DJ set at Lot Radio in Brooklyn on October 4.
With ‘Getting Started,’ Country Girl offers a heartfelt and atmospheric glimpse into Patience.
