3 New Albums Out This Week You Should Listen to Now: Peaer, NASTYJOE, and Westside Cowboy

There’s so much good music out in the ether that sometimes it’s difficult to parse through all of it. Every week The Daily Music Report will do the hard work for you and highlight the best releases available on streaming services.
This week we’re highlighting new music from Peaer, NASTYJOE, and Westside Cowboy.
Peaer – Doppelgänger
Peaer returns with doppelgänger, their first LP in nearly seven years. Led by Peter Katz, the New York trio blends slackery math-pop with precise, dynamic musicianship, delivering introspective lyrics that reflect on identity, adulthood, and life’s anxieties. Spanning material written from 2015 onward, doppelgänger showcases Peaer at their most refined, balancing math-rock, murky psychedelia, and pop sensibilities while exploring personal reflection with a technical, intimate sound.
Standout Songs: ‘End of the World,’ ‘Part of the Problem,’ ‘Just Because,’ ‘Bad News.’

NASTYJOE – The House
NASTYJOE’s debut album The House delivers a sharp blend of indie and post-punk inspired by The Cure, Blur, and Fontaines D.C. Recorded by Baptiste Leroy, the album is framed as a “mental house,” with each track exploring memory, identity, and inner conflict, turning fragility into force. The House captures the band’s raw intensity while tracing a coming-of-age journey of self-confrontation and acceptance.
Standout Songs: ‘Strange Place,’ ‘The House,’ ‘Worried For You,’ ‘Things Unsaid, Pt. 1,’ ‘Thing Unsaid, Pt. 2,’ and ‘Blood in the Back.’

Westside Cowboy – So Much Country ‘Till We Get There EP
Westside Cowboy’s second EP, So Much Country ’Till We Get There, sharpens the Manchester quartet’s “Britainicana” sound, blending ’90s alt-rock energy with folk-tinged emotion. Produced by Loren Humphrey, the EP captures a band thriving under pressure—louder, more confident, and poised for a breakout year.
Standout Songs: ‘Strange Taxidermy,’ ‘Can’t See,’ and ‘The Wahs.’
