Minneapolis-based artist runo plum has released her new single ‘Pond’ today (October 15, 2025) via Winspear (Wishy, Slow Pulp, Teethe). The track is the latest preview of her debut album patching, due November 14, and arrives alongside news of a 2026 U.S. tour and appearances at Pitchfork London and Pitchfork Paris.

Produced by Lutalo, ‘Pond’ unfolds as a tender, introspective meditation on depression and self-repair. Anchored by runo’s warm vocals and understated instrumentation, the song’s hushed tones give way to a fuzzed-out guitar section that mirrors the internal chaos described in its lyrics.

Speaking about the single, runo shares:

“This song came from feeling really stuck in a slump, feeling the height of the absence, the pain, and the loneliness. Wondering how there will ever be a time where it didn’t feel like this, and fighting with the internal voice that was telling me my best option was to not be on earth. Sonically this song is pretty mellow, but the fuzz guitar that comes in at the instrumental is a great representation of the internal horror that was happening inside of me.”

Following her upcoming UK and EU dates, runo will embark on a U.S. headlining tour beginning February 3 in Milwaukee, WI, with stops at Schubas Tavern in Chicago (Feb 4), Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn (Feb 11), and Zebulon in Los Angeles (Mar 19), before wrapping March 31 at Slowdown in Omaha, NE.

‘Pond’ is available now on all streaming platforms via Winspear.
