Howling Bells have made their long-awaited return with ‘Unbroken,’ their first new single in over a decade, out now on Nude Records.

Brooding yet soaring, ‘Unbroken’ layers weighty guitars and sweeping melodic climaxes around Juanita Stein’s unmistakable vocals. The lyrics carry a dreamy persistence, perfectly encapsulating the band’s enduring spirit after two decades together. Recorded with longtime collaborator Ben Hillier (Blur, Depeche Mode, Elbow) at Agricultural Audio Studios, the single is accompanied by a performance video that reunites Stein, her brother Joel, and drummer Glenn Moule on stage once again.

Stein shares:

“You can either call it childlike or stupidity, but you have to have that in order to believe that something greater can happen. Surviving as a band for over two decades requires extraordinary grit and, to some degree, irrationality. None of it really makes sense, except for the will and the love of the music itself. Unbroken is very much a testament to all of this.”

‘Unbroken’ is out now.
