Pry reflects on regret and hope in new single ‘Greener’

NYC-based duo Pry has released ‘Greener,’ the latest single from their upcoming debut album Wrapped in Plastic, out May 29, 2025.
‘Greener’ captures a quiet emotional storm, expressing both the sting of missed opportunities and a cautious optimism for the future. Originally written and recorded by vocalist Amara Bush, ‘Greener’ holds a deep significance for the band, marking one of the earliest creative connections between Bush and bandmate Simeon Beardsley.
Pry says:
“‘Greener’ is the first song Amara wrote and recorded and was one of the first songs we worked on together. It has gone through a lot of phases and it is very special to us because it represents a lot about the two of us stylistically- instrumentally and lyrically. We wanted to create an atmosphere that felt dynamic but allowed Amara’s introspective conversation with self to remain center-stage.”
‘Greener’ follows previous singles ‘Tether You’ and ‘Heaven,’ which helped build early momentum for Wrapped in Plastic.
