Wads shares a ‘Beast’ of a new single

Copenhagen-based artist Wads returns with ‘Beast,’ a spaced-out pop track that expands his vibrant electronic R’n’B universe.
On ‘Beast,’ Wads explores themes of alienation, transforming personal quirks and insecurities into a kind of superpower. The song’s production reflects this journey, incorporating pitched, alien-like vocals that heighten its sense of detachment and self-discovery. The track’s layered soundscapes add new depth to Wads’ genre-defying style, blending edgy pop with experimental electronic elements.
“I’ve always been a beast at walking slow, a beast at overthinking, and a beast at trying to fit in with my surroundings. To be honest, all my quirks have probably been a way to hide and disguise myself as a “real” person. Often, I have the experience that people around me perceive what I say as nonsense. It has become a constant in my life. But now it’s like I’ve understood how my peculiarities can be used – learned to acknowledge and accept who I am–and that’s a pretty intense superpower to possess.”
Having previously fronted the multi-platinum duo Phlake, Wads is now forging his own path with a fresh artistic vision. With ‘Beast,’ he continues to push boundaries, building on the momentum of Come Here and teasing even more music to come in 2025.
